In a Buddhist Nunnery - Myanmar
Tha Kya Di Tha Nunnery, at Sagaing Hill, is one of the best place to see the Buddhist Nun Life. All around nuns, dressed in pink robes and their heads shaved, are praying and chanting in temples. At 11:00 we can see them form a processional line across the Nunnery for lunch. It is very impressive to see the devotion to their religious life. Some of the nuns can be as young as 5-6 and the oldest around 20. At the age of 20 nuns must leave the convent, only few of them remain to teach to the other nuns. This nunnery has over 100 nuns who are studying Buddhism. There is also a Bamboo Buddha Image at the top of hillock. MYANMAR 2017
